SLATS is an alternative site for
academically at-risk students.
3 different programs are offered on the SLATS
campus:
· Accelerated Recovery (A/R) is offered to 5th & 7th grade students who have been retained at least once. The goal of A/R is to have students transition two grade levels within one school year.
· Connections is an 8th grade program which allows students an opportunity to receive 5 high school credits as an 8th grader. Students who will be at least 15 years of age by September 30th of the current school year are eligible.
· GED Pathway is for students who have completed a year in Connections and will be at least 17 years of age before September 30th of the current school year.

S.L.A.T.S. would like to express its appreciation and gratitude to Dollar General. We received a literacy grant in the amount of $3,000.00 to expand our Read 180 program. The Read 180 program is an important part of our instructional curriculum, as it delivers individualized, differentiated instruction to our students. Thanks again Dollar General!!!
